Atlantic Rowers

Sam Greatrex

Although I've completed endurance cycling events, the Atlantic ocean requires a higher level of physical and mental strength than anything I've done in the past. By the time we depart in December 2014 I will have been in training for over 2 years for the row.

Livar Nysted

Livar was the very first person to confirm to the crew in June 2012. He was already a big name in the world of ocean rowing then, as a holder of 2 Guinness World records for crossing the North Atlantic, and added a second crossing in February 2013.

Tara Adams

Tara has been a core member of the England ladies Tug of War team for several years and recently won a Bronze medal in the European Championships. The physical strength and team-work Tara has developed as an international athlete, makes her perfect for my crew.

Charlene Ayres

A seasoned river rower at Cardiff Rowing Club, Charlene sampled ocean rowing for the first time by participating in the GB Row race 2013 and has long held the ambition to row the Atlantic.

The aim of Lap the World is to raise £240,000 and every single penny donated will go to Macmillan, not towards expedition costs.
